Becoming a Founder: Methods and tools for founders of Startups and New Small Businesses

  • The Riveter 1145 West 5th Street Austin, TX, 78703 United States (map)

"Becoming a Founder" is a one-week intensive course designed for early-stage founders, future founders and small business owners that want to impact their business immediately.

Most people have never started a business from scratch — or, if they have, it probably took much longer than they were expecting. It is very hard to be effective in the early stage because no one does it enough to get good at it. This class distills the most advanced tools and methodologies founders and business owners need to become effective in the early stage and be in great shape to be able to grow the business.

Learn how to validate a business idea, identify the right customers, and build market and business models. Learn powerful approaches and tools to become the most effective leader for your business. Learn successful strategies and avoid common pitfalls to progress as quickly as possible.

Please note: This course will not teach you how to incorporate your business, design the best logo, or set up a website. Those might be needed at some point, but are not the risky parts of starting a business.

This course demystifies aspects of business planning that create obstacles to success such as clearly defining the problem you are solving, speaking to the right customers, and build a business model that works.
